Windows Update on your VPS

You yourself are responsible for regularly using Microsoft's Windows Update, which will install security updates and hotfixes on your Server - If you do not do this yourself, Windows Server will do this automatically at regular intervals (approximately once a month) to ensure that your Windows server is secured and up-to-date.

The advantage of logging in and performing Windows Update yourself is that you control when your server is restarted. You can set up so-called "Active Hours" (eg from 07:00 - 22:00) and Windows Update will then restart your server outside of this period.

However, we offer what we call "Managed Server", where we are responsible for carrying out Windows Updates etc. for you on your server - if you want to know more about this, you can contact support.

NOTE!!

It is important that you carry out Windows Update yourself and thus get updates etc. from Microsoft - Windows Server will however do this approximately once a month automatically and perform a restart itself.
