How to test SSL certificate

You can easily test if your SSL certificate works as expected. Lets assume that your SSL certificate was created for the domain "mycompany.com", you should then be able to type: https://mycompany.com - in the address bar of your brower and see a padlock icon like this:

In the above example you can see the connection is encrypted and the authorized entity, which issued the SSL certificate is VeriSign.
